JSaraske's PGP Newsletter #2

[Note: The following text was originally sent as e-mail to a small mailing list on 1/15/2000. The text is reproduced here verbatim. The only revision is wrapping it in HTML to turn it into a web page, and the inclusion of this note.]

Hi Folks,

New PGP development as of Friday, Jan 14, 2000. Imad Faiad has released the source code for PGP 6.5.1ckt . No executable has been posted yet, but hopefully this will happen soon.

Most of you probably have some of these URL's, but I'm restating them here for the benefit of anyone who does not.

Imad's PGP Page. The page is mirrored on several servers. This page is the home of the CKT versions of PGP, as well as an excellent place for most of the international versions.
Tripod mirror: http://irfaiad.tripod.com/
GeoCities mirror: http://www.geocities.com/irfaiad/
VirtualAve mirror: http://irfaiad.virtualave.net/

PGP International home page. The home of the semi-official international versions.

Potato Software page. The home of Jack B. Nymble remailer client. I like Jack B. Nymble. It supports chaining multi-layer-encrypted messages through Cypherpunk anonymous remailers. It will also chain through Mixmaster remailers (higher security) if you have the Mixmaster client software installed. JBN smoothly supports PGP versions 5.x and 6.x .

There are many other pages devoted to PGP and anonymous remailers, but I won't try to list them all here. You should find enough links from the pages listed above to get you to many more related pages. If you have a question about PGP and you can't find the answer from the above listed resources, e-mail me and ask. I'll help if I can.

I plan to add a Privacy page to my own site. Initially, it will contain pretty much the same as this message. Of course, I will update it as I find new information. I'll let you know when it is ready. Feel free to check out my home page at
www.members.tripod.com/~jsaraske/
It is in need of some updating (hope to do that soon), but I have links to a few interesting sites.

Later.....
